SEAI grants · current 2026

Grants you're probably entitled to.

Stack them. A heat pump + solar + battery + EV charger retrofit can pull down well over €10,000 in SEAI support if you sequence it right. Driving Green flags what you qualify for in your free Energy Score.

The four grants that move the needle.

SEAI runs more programmes than this, but these are the ones a typical Irish homeowner stacks for an energy retrofit.

Sequencing matters

How to stack them sensibly.

The grants apply in a specific order. Get the BER assessment, take the heat pump grant first, then the solar grant. Each requires a SEAI-registered installer and a post-works BER. Driving Green sequences this for you in your Energy Score.

  • 1Pre-works BER assessment
  • 2Heat pump install (€6,500 grant)
  • 3Solar PV install (up to €1,800)
  • 4EV charger install (€300)
  • 5Post-works BER + grant claim
